Today I just launched a little mini site for my friend Evan Simmonet. It’s a simple clean solution to allow his work speak for it’s self. He’s a great illustrator and creates wonderful worlds with so many great colorful narratives. Check it out HERE

Gotta Love this Photography

Check out Allister Ann’s work HERE, I don’t know what it is, there something so visceral about it that I enjoy. I’m usually a fan of hyper clean photography like Richard Avedon’s portrait work, but there is something about Allister Ann’s work that is great to me. Even the subject matter which I usually find so contrived like small venue musicians and hipster life style is captivating. It also doesn’t hurt that she’s also gorgeous.

So the Fuji Instax Instant Camera has been getting a lot of attention as of late. Posting in a variety of design blogs and such are getting numerous. Too bad big brother over at Sevnthsin was ahead of the curve and had a bunch of these at his wedding a year and some months ago. If you haven’t had a chance to play with one and you love the analog nostalgia of Polaroids check one out. Here

TOO MUCH LOVE.

Tuesday, June 9th, 2009

This isn’t anything new for some of you, but if you are looking for something to do on a Saturday night downtown that is everything but the dbag element then TOO MUCH LOVE at First Avenue is something that you should check out. While it took me a while to feel comfortable there, I’m a bit more conservative then the average Minneapolitain and Catholic values flow strong through these veins, I have found that with the right group of people there is nothing but fun here. Check it out sometime, get your picture taken, dance like crazy (not your average FunBar Dance Music) and let loose on some liquid courage. Don’t forget the TWITTER CONTEST , June 6th- August 1st (I’m proud to say that I am week one winner, so who’s gonna bring it next week?).

Fred Perry 100th Anniversary

Monday, April 20th, 2009

I really dig Fred Perry stuff, so I defintely had to post this. For their 100th anniversary they dropped a line with an oversized laurel leaf logo. Something fresh for the summer months.

Crystal Head Vodka!?

Monday, March 23rd, 2009

This weekend a Mr. Dan Aykroyd of the Ghostbusters fame stopped by the Saint Louis Park Byerly’s to promote his vodka, Crystal Head. Based on the occult the bottle is carved in the shape of a human skull and the contents are of the most purest of beverage, quadruple distilled diamond filtered vodka. If you don’t believe me check out the site HERE!! and everything will be explained. So anyways Mr. Aykroyd signed autographs, made small talk with cougars and created lines that wrapped double time around the frozen food isle. Don’t worry!! No streams were crossed.

So It’s been a while since I last posted anything. The economy is getting worse and times are rough for those of us in the Design industry. Ive been lucky enough to get enough projects to keep me from complete and utter debt. But the times are a changing and nothing says credit crunch like a new MacPro Xeon Workstation and Creative Suite 4 Master Collection. Productivity is up 600% at Bryan Pieper, because now I can actually do things. Check out the system specs at apple  HERE
